However, I cooked them in this equally incredible Little Italy in the Bronx Marinara, which I found very well stocked on the shelves in the pasta sauce aisle at my local Publix.

I got to tell you that this meal never lasts long on our table. With that being said, I always have to make extra because I love these meatballs in my sandwich the next day.

Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

This is my family’s absolute favorite dish. The meatballs came out so perfect. Especially when you have Italian bread to mop up all that sauce. It is pure comfort food that I’ve been making for years.

This sauce is made with simple and wholesome ingredients. They use imported Italian tomatoes, no paste.

Therefore, it is gluten-free and let’s not forget that Little Italy in the Bronx sauce is actually made in small batches.

Little Italy in the Bronx sauces comes in multiple varieties available at Publix, of course.

You can find Marinara, Tomato Basil, Alla Vodka, Arrabbiata and Alfredo sauce.

Sauce

In addition, with every purchase made a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Little Italy in the Bronx sauce.

Which is passionately devoted to the Belmont Business Improvement District, a local nonprofit organization.

These funds tremendously help wonderfully preserve the traditions of the area by enthusiastically promoting business development.

EASY AND TASTY DINNER IDEA

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 16 + pieces cheddar cheese cubed
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste and a generous pinch of each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil plus a drizzle to coat the skillet
  • 1 jar 24 oz. Little Italy in the Bronx Marinara

Cheese For the sauce:

  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 8 oz. container ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 ounces freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste a good pinch of both

Instructions

  1. Cube cheese into 1” cubes or use store bought cubed cheddar cheese.
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the cheese for the sauce, cover and refrigerate until ready to be used.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper and stir to combine. Scoop meatball mixture into a small ball (about 2 tablespoons, or a size of a larger golf ball) and press into a disk. Then place in the middle of the patty, 1 cube of cheese (you can use mozzarella string cheese as well) into the center, sealing meat tightly around cheese. Repeat with remaining meatball mixture and cheese.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook to brown on all sides. When the meatballs have developed a nice crust, remove them from the skillet and wipe the skillet clean. Return skillet to stovetop over medium heat. Pour marinara into the skillet then add the meatballs to the sauce. Spoon sauce over the meatballs. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer meatballs for about 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Lastly, add previously prepared cheese mixture for the sauce; a spoonful all around the skillet and in between meatballs. Cover and allow it to cook on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Serve warm over pasta. Garnish with more herbs and parmesan, if desired.

Notes

Leftovers: Place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for a month.

Deli Meat Lover Brioche Sliders

Deli Meat Lover Brioche Sliders

I just love this time of the year? Most of the typical households are glued to the tv when their favorite football team is playing and there is something else, which is FOOD, of course? Some people come to tailgate parties for the game and food, and some just for the excellent food. I love the atmosphere as much as I love a good game and delicious food. What do you love the most about read more

Supreme Bread Pizza

Supreme Bread Pizza

Supreme Bread Pizza

As a mother of three kids, two teens and one twin, I always look for quick meals just like this delicious Supreme Bread Pizza.

We have this at least once a week on our family movie night. Thankfully, Publix is just around the corner, so we can pick up ingredients pretty fast.

TAP HERE FOR MORE PARTY FOOD RECIPES

While shopping at Publix, you can grab Bertolli Olive Oil from the oils aisle and freshly baked bread, as well as other key ingredients needed for this delicious recipe.

I mean, while you are there, you don’t have to go anyplace else because you can find everything in one spot.

Supreme Bread Pizza

Most of the time I make this gourmet pizza with two types of bread, Italian and French.

My boys love this Supreme Bread Pizza with Publix bakery style French bread. However, my lovely daughter and I prefer Italian bread.

Also found at Publix bakery right next to the deli. With that being said, I thought to name it Supreme Bread Pizzas, which is rather appropriate.

Do you want more quick meals? Click here and check them out.

You can literally use any bread that you have or prefer. I guess that is the beauty of this meal, as well as the point of my blog “Easy Cooking.”

On the other hand, my dear husband does not care; he just loves this pizza. It is a simple, easy and delicious dinner idea or Sunday football treats to share with your loved ones.

I loved using both Bertolli Olive Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Bertolli Olive Oil Extra Virgin Light Tasting Olive Oil.

Supreme Bread Pizza

For this particular recipe, I chose Bertolli Olive Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil because it has that amazing flavor that I was promptly going for.

The taste is absolutely delightful! This isn’t surprising, as Bertolli is the world’s #1 olive oil brand and they have over 150 years of experience.

You can most definitely visit them to learn more about Bertolli products and get amazing recipes. The bottles have a new look, but the same great taste.

Happy Cooking!

Yield: Serves 4

Supreme Bread Pizza

Recipe

Tasty Bread pizza recipe.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Bread Loaf Italian or French
  • 2 tablespoons Bertolli Olive Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil plus one more drizzle
  • 2 cups Shredded Italian Pizza Blend Cheese
  • 1 Cup Tomato Sauce Olive Oil + Garlic
  • 1 cup Mini Pepperoni
  • 14 Hard Salami Slices
  • 1/2 cup Black Olive sliced.
  • 1/2 cup Green Pepper diced.
  • Herbs: Oregano Italian Herb Blend
  • Other Ingredients: Prosciutto Olives, Sauce for dipping, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat standard oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice the bread in half, lengthwise, then drizzle about one tablespoon on each side. Gently press the bread a bit in the middle, just enough to stretch it and make room for the toppings.
  3. Add on about 1/4 cup of cheese on the bottom of each bread slice, then drizzle tomato sauce. If you want to use more sauce, you can. Add more cheese and the rest of the toppings. I add a bit of cheese first because it is like a barrier, so the bread doesn't get to soak with the sauce.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the crust is somewhat crunchy, and the cheese is completely melted.
  5. Allow it to cool down for a couple of minutes before slicing. Drizzle just a bit of olive oil before serving.

Notes

You can add a different blend of cheese, sauce, as well as any toppings that you prefer. In the case of the bread: Italian, French, Cuban, flatbread, or slices of homemade bread would work just fine. Before baking, you can wrap it up and freeze for up to 3 months. Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes or until the pizza is completely thawed and cheese melted.
