CHECK OUT MY TOAST PIZZA ROLL RECIPE

Who would have thought that a simple toast bread could have such an amazing purpose other than serving as a slice of sandwich bread?

I have made a pizza roll with it as well as ham and cheese rolls, so if you have some toast on hand please test it.

Cheesecake Cinnamon French Toast Rolls

Anyhow, you all know how much I love versatile recipes?! This one is not much different because you can fill these with whatever you want; Nutella, Nutella and peanut butter, a good fruit jam, lemon curd,  cream cheese and fresh fruits such as blueberries, etc.

Well, these are sweet, but not overly sweet so everyone really could enjoy them. Of course, you can adjust the sugar depending on how much you personally like. I do not like too sweet unless I am eating baklava.

You can dip them in lemon sugar, coconut sugar or vanilla sugar. SEE!!! I told you it’s versatile and extremely simple as well. I hope you guys try this delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices white sandwich bread
  • 2 large Eggs mixed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons ground Cinnamon

FILLING

  • 1 pack softened cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 Powdered Sugar

  3. Cut the crust from each slice of bread and flatten it out with a rolling pin.
Place about 1-2 teaspoons of filling about half inch from one end of the bread in a strip. Roll the bread up tightly and repeat with the remaining pieces of bread.

  5. Then mix eggs in the bowl.
  6. Place baking sheet (use parchment paper or nonstick alum foil), next to the baking sheet, place a bowl of mixed eggs and right next to the eggs place a large plate with sugar and cinnamon so it is easier to move from one step to the other.
  7. Dip each bread roll in the egg mixture, coating well, then dip them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture coating it completely.
  8. Transfer the rolls to the baking sheet, seam side down.
  9. You can cook in batches or use two baking sheets if you have more than 10 rolls.
  10. Bake until golden brown for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

Notes

CAUTION! Allow them to cool down for at least 5 minutes before serving and eating because the filling is extremely hot. Double the recipe if you going to make more.

Everything Bagel Baked Chicken

Everything Bagel Baked Chicken

Extremely tasty Everything Bagel Baked Chicken Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes
Resting Time 5 minutes
Total Time 55 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breast halves with the rib/bone and skin
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley per chicken breast
  • EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING:
  • 3 tablespoons Black Sesame Seeds
  • 3 tablespoons untoasted/raw Sesame Seeds
  • 3 tablespoons Dried Onion Flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Poppy Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Golden Flaxseeds or brown flaxseeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon Sea Salt or to taste

Instructions

  1. Make “Everything Bagel Seasoning”.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F
  3. Remove and separate bone and rib from each chicken breast as you can see in my pictures above. Leave the skin on because it creates a nice crust.
  4. Add a drizzle of oil on each chicken breast after you separated from the bone and rub top and bottom.
  5. Add Everything bagel seasoning on the plate and coat each chicken breast, top, and bottom with the seasoning, then dust it with dried parsley and place on previously greased/oiled baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle just a tad more oil on top of the chicken.
  7. Bake chicken for 40-45 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken and if the internal temperature thermometer reads 165°F (at the thickest part of the chicken) then the chicken is cooked and safe to eat.
  8. Allow chicken to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing it. This way the chicken is going to be juicy on the inside. All the oil that is leftover on the baking sheet, keep it to drizzle over the chicken before serving.

Notes

You can use chicken tights with the skin, however, if you do not like skin at all please remove it or purchase skinless chicken.

If you don’t have poppy seeds or flaxseeds, please omit, I believe that sesame seeds are must because it gives you that nutty sesame seed aroma, taste, and flavor. You can serve it over rice, salad, sandwiches, wraps, lettuce wraps, etc.

It is really delicious however you serve it. You can cook veggies on the baking sheet that you cooked chicken. Please, do not through away that leftover oil. It got so much flavor.

Turmeric Egg Salad on a nest of Arugula or Rocket with seven seeds and multigrain bread is amazing.

It is definitely not your classic egg salad, but very delicious indeed. You can eat it with pretty much any bread; pita bread, toast, on crackers, etc.

My daughter, Anna, and I love making it quite often. From time to time we would add some tuna from the pouch because it tastes fantastic.

Turmeric Egg Salad

If you never tried adding tuna in your egg salad then you are really missing out. However, we are talking about this egg salad so please make it.

Also, if you are on a low carb diet, I would suggest making my chaffles or serve them in the lettuce cups.

Turmeric Egg Salad

Turmeric Egg Salad on a nest of Arugula or Rocket with seven seeds and multigrain bread.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Waiting to cool down 15 minutes
Total Time 27 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs peeled
  • 1/3 cup Tartar sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. Mustard
  • 1/2 stalk of Celery minced (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper diced
  • 2 tbsp. Green Onions chopped
  • 2 diced Kosher Pickles, small "cocktail" pickles are the best.
  • Arugula or any other greens on hand
  • Any bread on hand, but lettuce wraps would work.
  • SEASONING
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Paprika or Chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Turmeric

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop hard-boiled eggs and transfer to a medium bowl. Mash slightly with a fork to break up the yolks.
  2. Add celery, pepper, kosher pickles and green onions, then add seasoning. Mix until evenly combined.
  3. Add Tartar sauce, mayonnaise, and mustard, then mix again.
  4. Slice bread in half lengthwise and divide egg salad between bottom bread halves. If the bread is already sliced than just add egg salad one side, top it with any greens, arugula, baby spinach, lettuce, spring mixed greens, etc.
  5. Refrigerate unused Egg salad.

Turmeric Egg Salad

Notes

I love adding unusual things to traditional meals, like egg salad. I know that tartar sauce and turmeric are not traditionally added to egg salads, but it works perfectly together. Also, turmeric gives this wonderful yellow color.

YOU DO NOT have to add it if you don't want to. As for mustard, if you like Dijon mustard or Whole grain mustard, please use what you like or have. I used Olive Oil Mayo and Yellow Mustard. That is what we use and like.

How to boil eggs:

  • Place eggs in a saucepan. Cover them with cold water by 2-3 inches. Cover pan with a lid and bring water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • Boil for 6 to 7 minutes on medium-high heat for perfect boiled eggs.
  • Turn off the burner, and take the boiling water out of the saucepan and replace it with cold water.
  • I replace it a few times or add ice to help out. Allow the eggs to be the cold water for about 10 minutes.
  • Crack each egg and drop in the cold water, then start peeling one by one.
  • You can boil eggs a night before and keep them in the fridge. Eggs salad turned out the best when the eggs are cold.
