Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Do you have a napkin near you? No! Go get one, because these Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings are going to make your mouth water. Here I am with one more batch of chicken wings. I think birds already know that I live wings drenched in BBQ sauce!

Who wouldn’t love these, right? They’re so addictive and so delicious, and most of all very easy to prepare.

I don’t know many people who would turn their heads away from the chicken wings, at least not in my circle.

Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Usually, I serve them with some crunchy fresh vegetables, such as carrots, celery, mixed greens, freshly baked rolls. Sometimes, we would serve them with baked fries. Of course, I can’t forget Ranch dressing and extra hot BBQ sauce.

Game night or not, these wings are a winner in my book even on the midweek side with potatoes and salad.

Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

A couple of years ago, I posted a recipe for my chicken wings with Sriracha sauce, and everyone is in love with them. I got pretty amazing reviews too, but these are equally “lick-your-fingers” DELICIOUS!!!

Now, you can double the recipe if you wish, and it is recommended especially if you have eaters with a larger appetite.

NOTE: Keep raw meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs separate from all other foods at the grocery store and in the refrigerator.

Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Easy recipe for tasty Spicy Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds Whole chicken wings separate into sections
  • Rub:
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan Pink salt or any on hand
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Parsley *optional
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour gluten-free for those that are sensitive
  • Sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce any of your choice (Sugar-free for low carb option)
  • 1/4 cup Hot sauce OR MORE, I love adding sriracha but you can use any on hand
  • Garnish:
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F/ 230 C
  2. In a large bowl, place chicken wings. Separate chicken drumette from the flat and the tip. Usually, I freeze chicken tips for soups. You do not have to separate them, but it bakes much faster.
  3. Mix all the ingredients for the rub. Add half to the chicken and mix it until chicken wings are coated, then add the other half and mix again. This way you will know that all the chicken parts are well coated.
  4. Place chicken on the baking sheet in one single layer (you may line the baking pan/sheet with parchment paper or you can use baking wire ton top of the baking pan to bake chicken wings).
  5. Bake chicken for 15 minutes, then turn each chicken wing on the other side and bake for another 15 minutes. Flip again, and turn the broiler on and bake under a broiler for 5-7 minutes that is for extra crunchy chicken wings. Please monitor it so the wings don't burn. Some ovens take shorter time like 2-3 minutes and some longer, so watch on them by opening the oven and checking until you reach desirable crunchiness.
  6. Mix the ingredients for the sauce together.
  7. After the chicken wings are finished baking, brush the sauce on both sides, then you may pour the rest over it and use as a little or as much as you wish. The wings need to be completely drenched in sauce. Serve immediately!

Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls, Hot Sandwiches

Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls, Hot Sandwiches

Easy and Simple recipe for Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls Hot Sandwiches that I know you will love!

Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls, Hot Sandwiches Recipe

Many children in the USA as of now begun school, yet mine started school at least 2 weeks before everyone else. I wish we had more time to unwind as it was still the peak of the summertime.

Needless to say, it was a tough adjustment after all the summer fun and traveling. I think we are still adjusting to the idea that school is already in session for two months. With that being said, it could be rather stressful as well as emotional time for many parents.

I love talking with my kids about food, as they are foodies just like me. We discussed meals that we will create during this school year.

One thing that all three of them love, is sandwiches. They could eat sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, I brainstormed throughout the year what fun sandwiches I could make for them, for lunch boxes, breakfasts, etc. That is how these Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls Hot Sandwiches came to mind.

Ham and Cheese Potato Rolls, Hot Sandwiches Recipe

My advice is that you sit and talk to your child about what he/she would like to eat, include them in the meal prep, and be excited about whatever you’re making food together as those are moments to cherish and remember.

With homemade soup and these hot, delicious, delectable, and quick sandwiches made with Martin’s potato rolls, ham, and cheese, it was a dinner made in no time.

Everyone was pretty happy, which made me very happy too that these sandwiches were a huge success with my family. Since my kids are going to 3 different times to school.

Usually, I would prepare these at night, wrap and just pop them in the oven for their breakfast as they make one exceptionally delicious and quick breakfast.

You can certainly heat it in the microwave, but we love the crunchy roll’s crust, and soft inside of the rolls, and I am not even mentioning that melty cheese.

Soup, salad, or perhaps a cup of milk goes perfectly with these sandwiches. Also, if you do not eat ham, deli chicken, beef or turkey could replace ham.

I used Martin’s Potato Rolls, but you can make this with Martin’s Slider Potato Rolls, which i found on Amazon to show you. I believe they are available in all grocery stores but do check.

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

Spiral Zucchini Noodles = ZOODLES

Zoodles with Shrimps & Tomatoes

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes absolutely amazing, which my daughter calls it “Vegethi“, as a Vegetable-Spaghetti combined together.

My kids loved it, my husband is over the moon, which is pretty crazy considering that he might be one person who could love pasta more than me.

Could these replace spaghetti with zucchini noodles?

YES, if you like zucchini! With that being said, your mind is a magical thing. If you imagine you are eating pasta instead of zucchini.

If you would like to cut on the CARBS, especially pasta than this meal is for you. I really like it. I made it many times for my family.

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

We are just adding different toppings and serving differently.

I was doing Whole30. If you do not know what that is, well, it is a way of eating to reset your body in 30 days. There are rules what you can consume and what you can’t which is the whole point of resetting your body.

For example, you do not eat dairy and after 30 days you gradually start intaking it. So if your body reacts to it then you know you are sensitive to dairy.

Well, I was not doing well at all. I am not sensitive to anything, but I do believe that gluten, as well as dairy such as milk, is bothersome so I avoid it.

I have never noticed any rushes or major stomach pains, per se. However, I do get a minor upset stomach and I am doing mentally and physically so much better when I avoid it.

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

I switched to a Ketogenic diet and felt amazing. It was a lifestyle change for me. Almost instantly I felt better.

Just two weeks into it I slept without any problems, I stopped snoring, my skin got clear and my brain was fog-free. Also, I did not feel heaviness, or bloated and I was actually full of energy.

Okay! Now, let’s go straight to this awesome meal.

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

Zoodles with Shrimps and Tomatoes

Tasty and easy meal for all seafood lovers who enjoy low carb clean meals.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. Lemon infused Olive Oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves minced
  • 6 PER person Large Shrimps (precooked, or fresh /Organic)
  • 1 teaspoon Organic NON-Dairy Butter/ Clarified butter /Ghee
  • 1 cup Yellow and Red Cherry Tomatoes sliced in half
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh Basil chopped + more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Onion or powder
  • 1-2 Organic Zucchini 1 larger, or two smaller / approx. 339 g

Instructions

  1. Heat the Wok, or a pan, then add 1 tbsp. Olive Oil and 2 minced garlic cloves. Saute for a minute. Don’t let it burn. Turn down the heat to medium (6 or 5).
  2. Add “defrosted” Shrimps (6 per person), organic (Precooked) Extra Large Shrimps OR ANY ON HAND. Shrimps are cooked after maybe 3-4 minutes. They will have deep orange-pink color.
  3. Add 1 cup Sliced Cherry Tomatoes and Freshly chopped basil. Saute for 4 to 5 minutes
  4. Season with Salt, Ground Black Pepper, and 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder or granulated onion
  5. Add 1 tsp. Butter (nondairy/clarified butter), whatever works with your diet.
  6. Add Zoodles and toss to coat Season with Pinch of Himalayan salt (or any on hand). TURN OFF YOUR HEAT COMPLETELY. You don’t want to cook them, just coat the zoodles with the garlicky sauce/oil.
  7. Finish it with a squeeze of Lemon and toss one more time.

Notes

You can use any shrimps that you prefer; Frozen, precooked, fresh. I used these because I had them in my freezer. I just submerged them in cold water for 10 minutes to defrost, or until they are defrosted. Usually, in 15 minutes they should be defrosted.

Drain, and pat dry with kitchen paper towel. If you are using fresh, make sure to clean and devein them. To peel, raw shrimp, start underneath, where their legs are attached. If you like, leave the last tail segment on for looks. Devein by making a shallow slit down the middle of the back to expose the black intestine. (To butterfly, make the slit deeper.)

The Wok that I am using is 100% Ceramic and comes from Xtrema Ceramic Cookware. It is a healthy, easy and delicious way of cooking, I went a bit fancy, so I used Lemon infused OLIVE OIL, please use whatever oil you have or use in general.

Coconut Oil would work as well if you love the flavor, and of course, Olive oil is always amazing – health and taste-wise. One more thing – Mushrooms are amazing with this dish. I didn’t have them at the moment but added them for dinner the other night, and it was fantastic. So, Add mushrooms if you have them or like them as much as I do.
