Easy 20 Minute Asian Dinner with Frozen Entrées

There are nights when I want bold flavor, glossy sauce, perfectly crisp chicken, and rice that tastes as if it came straight from my favorite restaurant… but I don’t want to wait on delivery or spend an hour in the kitchen.

That’s exactly how this 2o Minute Asian Inspired Dinner was born.

With a few freezer staples from InnovAsian, I pulled together a full dinner spread — two crave-worthy chicken entrées and vegetable fried rice, in the time it normally takes to scroll through a takeout app. I even made a quick Asian-inspired slaw while the chicken was baking, and it came together in just a few minutes.

Let me tell you… This turned out so good. My family absolutely loved it.

This 20 Minute Asian Dinner Spread brings together crispy, saucy chicken, savory vegetable fried rice, and a fresh cabbage slaw with a bright sesame-ginger dressing for balance and crunch. The combination of warm, bold entrées and cool, tangy slaw creates a restaurant-style experience at home, without too much work.

Ingredients

  • InnovAsian General Tso's Chicken
  • InnovAsian Orange Chicken
  • InnovAsian Vegetable Fried Rice
  • Fresh cabbage slaw with homemade sesame-ginger dressing

Sesame-Ginger Slaw Dressing

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil, avocado or light olive oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey, or to taste
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 2 smaller garlic clove, finely grated
  • Optional: squeeze of fresh lime or lemon

Instructions

  1. Follow instruction on the InnovAsian boxes. I baked InnovAsian General Tso's Chicken and InnovAsian Orange Chicken in the oven, but there a few other options.
  2. Slaw: Whisk until smooth.
The slaw adds freshness and contrast, cutting through the richness of the glossy sauces while adding texture and color to the plate. It’s the simple upgrade that makes this feel thoughtfully assembled rather than just convenient.
  3. Seperate it in between the bowls and enjoy!
