Kimchi Burger Sliders

Kimchi Burger Sliders

Kimchi Burger Sliders

I love my kimchi burger sliders. I mean who wouldn’t love a few bites sliders?

Summer is a wonderful time for grilling and enjoying the abundance of fresh produce.

While I may not be a big fan of summer in general, I always make the most of it by indulging in delicious grilled meals, going to the pool, or taking a mini vacation close to the beach.

Kimchi Burger Sliders

One of my all-time favorite creations is the kimchi burger sliders. Being a huge fan of kimchi, it was no surprise that I came up with this recipe years ago for a client.

Although I never shared it on my website, I believe it’s never too late to do so. Recently, my daughter has developed a love for kimchi as well.

To accommodate her dietary preferences, I usually make turkey or chicken burgers for her, as she no longer consumes red meat.

Kimchi Burger Sliders

These little gems, the kimchi burger sliders, have become a family favorite. I truly hope you will enjoy them just as much as we do. The recipe is incredibly simple, requiring only a few ingredients to create a truly delicious dish.

This recipe is foolproof. I’ve been making it for many years and I know that you guys would love it.

Kimchi Burger Sliders Recipe
Yield: 6 SERVINGS

Kimchi Burger Sliders

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef, 80/20
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
½ bunch Italian parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 whole large egg

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Topping:

  • Sliced Cheese
  • 1 cup of kimchi, chopped
  • Sriracha Mayo or ay other sauce
  • Butter/Bibb or Boston Lettuce

Instructions

  1. Mix beef, onion, garlic, paprika, sea salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
In a smaller bowl or a cup combine mixed large egg, olive oil baking soda, bread crumbs, and water, let it sit for a minute, then add it to the meat and by hand mix until thoroughly combined.
  2. Make meatballs then smash them a bit to create burger patties.
Note* I usually make 2.6-3 oz burger patties for mini burgers and serve them on slider buns to make 6 servings/12 sliders/2-sliders per person.
  3. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side. This depends on how you like your burgers, medium rare or well done, so cook them to your liking. Just before the end of the cooking time toast the slider buns for about 1 minute or so.
  4. Assemble the sliders by spreading 1 to 2 tsp of any sauce of your choice, we love Sriracha Mayo, on the bottom half of the bun. Add lettuce, and top with a burger patty, cheese slice, and chopped kimchi.
  5. Complete with a piercing through-the-whole slider with a bamboo pick to hold everything in place. Serve immediately!

Notes

If the cheese slice is too large for the slicer you can cut it into 4 smaller pieces or in half.

Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders

Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders

Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders

To be completely honest, I don’t personally enjoy sliders with turkey and cranberry sauce. This kind of combination of savory and sweet flavors is not one of my favorites. I am aware, though, that a lot of people enjoy this combo.

Several bloggers have shared their variations of Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders on social media, so I’ll be sharing my own take or a twist on the recipe. This is really uncomplicated recipe!

While turkey is typically used in these sliders, you could also use ham as an alternative. Ham and cranberry sauce make a delicious combination as well.

Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders

It reminds me almost of honey ham with pineapple so we do have a mix of sweet and savory that work great together. However, since most of us have leftover turkey, utilizing that in this recipe is a great way to reduce waste.

Even if I’m not a huge fan of turkey and cranberry sauce sliders, I can still appreciate how inventive and different this food idea is.

We may make a tasty and creative lunch or dinner by repurposing leftover turkey and mixing it with cranberry sauce, possibly served with some wonderful hot soup.

Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Sliders

Whether you’re a fan of ham or turkey, these sliders surely be a light twist and alternative to the standard sandwiches.

Do you repurpose leftovers creatively or do you just eat the same thing for 3 days?

I have my share of unique ways to use leftovers such as Thanksgiving pizza made completely with leftovers even mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a flavor bomb!

Sliders:

You can use any sliders, of course, but Hawaiian are soft, sweet, and perfect for this.

Meat:

If you do not have leftover turkey, you can use oven-roasted turkey from the deli. That being said, if you like ham, use ham, or chicken.

Cranberry Sauce:

If you like me and do not want to use cranberry sauce, be my guest and try it with marinara sauce or honey mustard instead. It is so delicious!!

Topping:

i love using parsley and unsalted butter to brush it on top, as well as garlic powder. You can use freshly minced garlic too, or add a bit of Dijon mustard. Mustard and turkey just go so well together.

Easy turkey and cranberry sauce sliders recipe made with leftover cranberry sauce and turkey

Ingredients

Sliders:

  • 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sliders

Toppings:

  • 8 oz oven roasted turkey, (deli thick sliced if you don't have leftovers)
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 5 slices Swiss cheese

Top it:

  • 3 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds *optional
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds *optional

Final topping:

  • 1 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350F
    2. Cut the leftover turkey, or use oven-roasted turkey from the deli.
    3. Slice Hawaiian rolls across in the middle lengthwise.
    4. Spread a layer of cranberry sauce on the bottom of each slider bun, you can use more or less. 1/4 cup was enough for me but if you can use a bit more.
    5. Layer the turkey slices on top of the cranberry sauce. Add slices of cheese, then place the top of the bun over the cheese.
    6. Melt butter, then add parsley, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds, and brush all over sliders.
    7. Bake for about 12 minutes and up to 15 minutes. If it's getting too dark at the top cover them with foil or parchment paper until cheese melts completely.
    8. Take the out and drizzle a bit more butter on top and single with some chopped parsley.
    9. Enjoy them while hot!

Notes

If you do not like cranberry sauce you can use marinara sauce or honey mustard.
